Abstract

This article describes a framework in which education faculty and librarians can
collaboratively develop instructional strategies to address new technological advances in academic research. A survey was designed to query both groups about the learning outcomes education students should have acquired at various stages in their academic careers. The instruction strategies developed from the survey results were utilized in developing instructional programs to teach education students information retrieval skills needed to access information from electronic resources.
